For all of you who have made it your New Year’s Resolution to lose weight then congratulations! That’s a great goal to have and hopefully my blog can help you achieve that goal.
For this post I’d like to review one of the hottest new diets right now – The Eat-Clean Diet.
Written by Tosca Reno it bases the diet on the foods that she ate to lose weight and it focuses on eating small meals throughout the day (5-7 meals) rather than three main meals. So what is so different about this diet compared to any others?
Well while there isn’t much that you probably didn’t know: eat healthy foods, avoid processed foods, avoid fad diets she does offer helpful suggestions such as what are the best foods to keep in your cupboards for when you get the munchies or when the kids come and tell you they are hungry and you need something quick. Tosca is also very motivational and I like her style of writing that combines enthusiasm and friendliness – it actually feels like you are talking to one of your girlfriends about recipes and weight loss advice.
If you are thinking about trying the Eat-Clean Diet then my recommendation would be to buy the cookbook instead, rather than the diet book. You probably already know the advice she is going to be including in the diet book (eat fresh healthy foods) and need to focus more on the actual recipes.
Overall the Eat-Clean Diet is sound and based on great healthy principles, but the main diet book contains no new information so get the cookbook on it’s own and enjoy her fabulous recipes.
