Exercises to Lose Weight Quickly so you’ll Look Hot in No Time

There are three main types of exercises that you should be concentrating on if you want to lose weight quickly: Strength where you will be building muscle and toning up, cardio where you will be burning calories and losing weight, and flexibility for stretching and to give you a great lean shape. All of these exercises can be done at home and won’t cost you a dime.

Your Cardio Workout:

Walking is one of the best cardio exercises that you can do because it’s so easy to do. Just pop on some good walking shoes and head out the door. If you don’t like walking then swimming and bike riding are also great cardiovascular exercises, or if you are feeling more adventurous then try stepping it up a pace and run instead of walk.

Cardio’s main benefit is that it burns fat and calories and is great for strengthening your heart and lungs. Since heart disease is one of the major contributing factors to early death of both men and women it is very important to fit some cardio training into your routine.

To get the maximum benefit aim for a minimum of 30 minutes a day for at least six days a week.

Your Strength Workout:

You don’t need expensive weights to get started in your strength workout in fact you can use your own body for many weight based exercises. Squats and pushups are great examples of strength exercises that don’t require any additional equipment. For other exercises such as bicep curls you can use what you have around your home such as cans of food or water bottles. Muscle also burns more calories than fat does so the more muscle you have the easier it will be to lose weight (that’s why men generally find it easier to lose weight than women).

Aim to incorporate strength training into your routine 2 to 3 times per week for a minimum of 15 minutes each session.

Your Flexibility Routine:

Stretching after exercise relaxes tight muscles and helps balance the body. My favorite stretching routines incorporate yoga poses to improve both body shape and flexibility. The Yoga Sun Salutation is a great flowing series that incorporates twelve different poses and is a great way to finish a workout.

After each workout, finish with a set of stretching exercises or yoga moves.

To lose weight even faster, incorporate a healthy eating program that helps drop that fat off your body super quick. These are just some of the exercises to lose weight quickly.
