Flat Abs in 5 Minutes a Day

I was watching one of those infomercials the other day where some model was using one of those Ab machines and saying how it flattened her abs with just a few minutes a day. Yeah right I thought. She looked as if she had never had a weight problem in her life!

But that got me thinking, and so rather than fork over my cash for an expensive machine that would end up collecting dust in my bedroom, I tried out a few things over a month to see if I really could get flat abs in 5 minutes a day. Here is what worked for me:

1. Ab Exercises

I started doing around five minutes of Ab exercises in the ad breaks of my favourite shows. The most effective exercise for me was the bicycle. You lie on your back, hands behind your head and move your legs as if you were riding a bike while you twist your body and try and touch your elbow to your opposite knee.

This worked great – I really felt it the next day.

2. Standing Tall

Instead of slouching around like I usually do I tried to stand up tall. Stomach in, shoulders back. This not only helped slim my tummy, but also improved my posture.

3. More walking

Ok, so this probably took more than 5 minutes a day, but I would do things like park further away from the mall so I had to walk further, or take the stairs instead of the elevator. Little things that only added up to a few minutes here and there really started to help melt the fat off my whole body.

At the end of the month I really did have a nice flat stomach that I was proud to show off and I didn’t need an expensive piece of equipment to do it.

So my conclusion – is it really possible to get flat abs in 5 minutes a day? Well if you start making small changes to your lifestyle, it certainly will be a lot flatter than it is before you start – go for it!

  • Bartez: I guess the only way to get flat stomach is to do hard exercises. Every one would like to have an ideal figure and flat stomach is one of the element,
