Lose 3 Pounds In Just Days

lose-weight-fastIf you have a big event coming up and want to look slim and sexy for it then right now you are probably looking for a way to lose weight fast! This article will look at whether you really can lose 3 pounds in just 3 days. A friend of mine recently came to me in a panic for just this reason.

A group of my girlfriends were having a ‘biggest loser’ competition among each other and every Friday evening they’d all weigh in. Now my group of girlfriends are extremely competitive so you can imagine what happened when Francis (my friend) heard that to win for that week she had to lose an extra three pounds. So she comes to me and asks what she can do to help ‘sway’ the scales for that weeks weigh in.

I told her that she shouldn’t try and push it. In my mind, it isn’t safe if you don’t have a plan. I was worried that she was simply so fixated on “I have to lose 3 pounds in 3 days” that she would throw all caution to the wind and proceed in an unsafe or unhealthy manner. I was happy to learn that she consulted with her trainer at the gym on safely increasing her exercise regimen in order to burn a few extra calories at each workout. She added a little more weight training and more cardiovascular and did so only under the strict guidance of her fitness professional. She also modified her diet slightly in order to help achieve her plan to lose 3 pounds rapidly, but again she did so only after speaking with the physician’s assistant at her doctor’s office.

If you do reach your goal, it’s important that you do it in a healthy and safe way. Yes it is possible to lose 3 pounds in 3 days but it isn’t a sustainable weight loss and should only be done for special occasions.
