If you are a fast eater then it might be time to slow things down. According to a Japanese study, fast eaters are three times more likely to be overweight than those who slow down. The reason being that if you take your time during a meal you’ll be able to tell when you feel full much more easily that if you are scoffing your food down.
The Lesson? Stop and chew your food 20 to 30 times before swallowing and take the time to taste and savour the food rather than just mindlessly eating.
