You’ve decided that you want to lose weight, and you want to do it fast!

So here are some great tips on fast weight loss:

1. Reward Yourself

The best way to stick to a diet or exercise plan is to stay motivated, and the best way to stay motivated is set small goals for yourself and give yourself rewards when you achieve them.

Try and set goals like exercising four times this week, or losing 10% of your body weight. Just make sure your rewards are diet friendly!

2. Take it slow

Drastic changes to your lifestyle usually don’t work as you burn out too quickly and don’t stick to your plan. By taking is slow or spacing out workouts over the course of a day you’ll be much more likely to stick to your weight loss plan.

3. Mix it up

Try and change your workouts every so often so you don’t get bored. Most people lose interested in exercising simply because they get bored or don’t like what they are doing.

Sick of swimming? Then try an exercise video. Don’t want to run around the neighborhood again? Take a bike ride instead.

4. Plan Ahead for Social Occasions

Meeting up with friends or going to parties is fun, but they can wreak havoc on your diet. Make sure you plan ahead and either eat up before you go, or scan the menu for healthy alternatives.

If possible, offer to bring a plate of food yourself so you can bring something healthy.

5. Know your GI

Low GI diets have been shown to be very effective for fast weight loss. Eating foods with a low Glycemic Index (GI) will keep you fuller for longer which means you’ll consume less calories over the course of a day.

Also, most foods that are low GI are also very healthy such as fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy and grain products.
